Extreme! Assignment..

For my Extreme Assignment, I chose to look at 'Mothers hands'. If you are wondering how this fits into the category of being 'Extreme' well, I am going to explain...

Every generation of people has had their mother be there for them all through their early childhood and right up till they get married and afterwards. I wanted to capture in an image, how much a mother does in her lifetime for her children. She basically gives up her own freedom to look after a child from birth right up to adulthood. I want to know how much people appreciate this and you would be surprised how many people take their mothers for granted. Whether its simply not saying thank you for something she has done, like the laundry or make your bed in the morning, or comfort you when you are low and upset. I know, it is hard to capture this in a image, but maybe, if the person viewing the images realises how much their mother has done. It can be amazing to think how many things she has done for you. I think, in my own opinion that this is 'Extreme' even if you don't.

These are an example of what I have done on digital for my 'Extreme' photo's. I will have to produce my final work on 'Fuji film' prints.
